SPECIAL POLITICAL & DECOLONIZATION (SPECPOL)

Picture
  Main Chair - Eliza Pervanidi

I am Eliza, a second-year undergraduate student in the faculty of Law at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. I was born and raised in Larissa, but from a very young age, I enjoyed traveling around the world, discovering new places, meeting and interacting with people coming from different social and cultural backgrounds. Besides traveling, I am passionate about debating and participating in MUN conferences and I have a keen interest in public international law and diplomacy. After participating in a variety of committees in many MUN and European Youth Parliament conferences in the past, I am ready to step up my game and chair for the first time in ArcMUN 2020. I am really excited and aspire to turn my committee into a friendly environment, where every delegate will feel safe and confident to express their opinion and actively participate!

Co-Chair - Maria Deliporanidou

I am Maria, a first-year undergraduate student in the faculty of Law at Freie Universität zu Berlin. I was born and raised in Thessaloniki where I also attended the German School. I am fascinated with European and International Law as well as Criminal Law and International Politics in general. Other than that, I really enjoy traveling, listening to music, going out with friends and I have an indescribable love for Greek islands and cats. ArcMUN 2020 will mark my 15th MUN conference and my 9th time chairing. Besides MUN, I just discovered the magical world of EYP and I am really looking forward to attend multiple sessions and meet new people from various backgrounds. I am really excited about the upcoming conference on March and I am looking forward to a heated debate.

Junior Chair - Dimitris Georgakainas

I am Dimitris, a 16 year old high school student from Thessaloniki, Greece. After participating in MUN conferences as a delegate, I will be the Junior Chair of the SPECPOL committee. While my interests vary, I am very keen on studying and playing music. Even though music has had a huge impact on my everyday life and activities, I also enjoy diplomacy and conferences such as the ARCMUN. Along with the rest of the board, I am looking forward to meeting all of you!
