Main Chair - Stefania Zourka
I am Stefania Zourka, I am currently traversing the final year of my studies in the Faculty of Law of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and I have the utmost pleasure to serve as the Chair of this year’s 1st Committee of the General Assembly. I am a member of the European Law Students’ Association (ELSA), as well as a member of Amnesty International. Additionally, I am an analyst in the Association on International and European Affairs, and mostly concerned with issues of the fields of international law, international relations and crisis management. My MUN journey started in ThessISMUN and since then, I have participated in numerous Model United Nations Conferences, as a delegate or a member of the Board. Furthermore, I have an active presence in her hometown, Kozani, where I had the chance to organize a simulation of the City Council of the Municipality, in addition to many other activities. The First Committee of the General Assembly may be a challenging and voluminous one, but I assure you that I, along with my Co-Chair Eleni, will put all our effort to support you and give you a chance to explore the so-called as the ‘gear’ among the Committees of the United Nations. I am looking forward to meeting you all in March, to come up with fruitful debates, concrete solutions and a great time, too!
