AUGOUSTINA BALARI
Hello everyone I am Avgoustina-Maria Balari but most of my friends call me Avgoustina or Avy. I was born and raised in Thessaloniki, Greece and I am 16 years old. I am a junior at Aristotelio College and I plan on attempting computer science at the university of Macedonia. The past two years of Model United Nations I have been a member of the security staff but now I have the honor of being a chair. I chose to participate in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization committee because AI is a part of computers and I am highly interested to know about its maximum abilities and dangers that it can cause. Apart from technology I am going on art classes for 11 years in order to develop my artistic skills. Me and my co-chair Thaleia hope that you are as excited for all the debating as we are and we can’t wait to meet you all in person. |
THALEIA PAPASTERGIOU Hello everyone!!! I am Thaleia-Polyxeni Papastergiou, but most of my friends call me Thaleia. I was born and raised in Thessaloniki, Greece and I am 16 years old. This will be my 4 th MUN, but only my 2 nd as a chair. I am a junior at Aristotelio College and hope to become an elementary school teacher. It is because of this that I chose the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization Committee, because I care deeply about education and want to see how Artificial Intelligence will change it. I enjoy playing Volleyball with my friends and watching small town TV Shows to relax. I can’t wait for the time to come to meet all of you in person and I promise that me and my co-chair, Avgoustina, will do our best so that we can have an amazing and unforgettable time! |
SOFIA SOUGARI
Hello, everyone! My name is Sofia, and I’m a fourteen-year-old senior at the 1st Junior High School of Pylaia. I’m thrilled to be here as a junior chair for the UNESCO committee at this year’s ArcMUN, especially since I participated in this very committee as a delegate last year. Over the course of four Model United Nations conferences, I’ve gained invaluable experiences and insights that deepened my love for diplomacy. Since my very first MUN conference, I’ve been captivated by the power of discussion and debate to bring ideas to life. Now, as I step into a chairing role, I’m excited to help guide discussions and contribute to an unforgettable conference experience. I hope you find as much passion for diplomacy here as I have, and that together we can make this ArcMUN truly memorable. Let’s dive in, exchange perspectives, and make this year’s ArcMUN one of a kind! |
