UNESCO

Main Chair - Giorgos Margaritis

I am Giorgos, a 19-year-old half-Greek half-Bulgarian undergraduate student of English Literature at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Having been a recipient of a plethora of multicultural stimuli throughout his upbringing, I find great interest in studying languages, and culture. Some of my other passions include: cooking, playing computer games, and reading books. I have participated in numerous MUN sessions since 2015, as well as in the European Youth Parliament (2018), and RhodesMRC (2019). I am an ardent proponent of science, critical thinking and open-mindedness, and I envision a world and society guided and defined by those very principles. With ArcMUN 2020 just around the corner, my excitement about getting to meet the delegates of the UNESCO committee is growing ever more great. Along with the most fantastic co-chairs, Angeliki and Christos, I am looking forward to, yet again, being a part of one of the most unique and mirthful experiences there are!

I am Christos and I was born and raised in Thessaloniki. I am 21 years old and I am currently an undergraduate student of Law at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Since 2012 and my first participation in an MUN conference I am highly interested in diplomacy, foreign affairs and international law, although during the last three years these interests have expanded and include European and criminal law. Beyond this academic context, I enjoy among others playing tennis, watching football, Netflix n chilling and hanging out with friends. In ARCMUN 2020, I will have my first chairing experience as I will serve as the Co-Chair of UNESCO and, therefore, I am looking forward to meeting all of the delegates and I wish for a memorable experience.

Junior Chair - Angeliki Papaioannou

I am Angeliki, I was born in Athens and was raised in Thessaloniki. I am a 17 year old half Greek half Australian student in the 12th grade of high school. Next year I want to study in the “International and European department” in the University of Macedonia. Some of my passions include: acting, singing, basketball, photography and reading books. I have participated in numerous MUN sessions since 2017. I support my beliefs very immensely and that is why I am always up for an intensive debate. With ARCMUN 2020 slowly approaching and this being my first time as a chair, I am very excited to meet the delegates of UNESCO. I am looking forward to being a part of one of the most unforgettable experiences.
