WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION (WHO)

Picture
Main Chair - Stelios Kechagias

I am Stylianos Kechagias, or also known as Stelios, a 19-year old undergraduate student in the department of History and Archaeology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. I am particularly passionate about History of Art and Museology. I attended my first conference back in my freshman year of high school, maintaining the MUN marathon ever since. To this day, I have taken part in several conferences in Greece, hoping to participate in other simulations abroad. It is true that ArCMUN was my first experience in the conference world, and so I am overly excited to participate once again in this year's conference as a Chairperson in the World Health Organisation Committee (WHO). The reason why I put MUNs at the top of his extracurricular activities is the fact that such conferences are novel experiences of active learning and engagement with the current affairs. As a result, by attending MUNs and MEUs from a young age, it is possible to not only understand how world scale organisations function, but also appreciate more and more the idea of unity and solidarity. I am looking forward to meeting you all in Thessaloniki!

Co-Chair - Eleni Keperti

My name is Elena Keperti and I am a dental student in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. I could easily describe myself as an MUN addict as I have taken part in various simulations of the United Nations, as a delegate,  a chair and an advisor. My MUN career started when I decided to participate in ArcMUN. It was a complete disaster but that didn't stop me from applying again next year and eventually falling in love with the procedure. I strongly believe that MUNs can help us learn a lot about ourselves, research, develop public speaking skills and meet people. Other interests of mine include learning foreign languages, reading books and, of course, eating delicious food while watching TV series.

Co-Chair - Joanna Koulaouzidou

I was born and raised in Thessaloniki, Greece. I am eighteen years old and an undergraduate student at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and more specifically at the department of Forestry and Natural Environment. One of my passions since I was young was nature, hence, my current studies. Some of my other interests are music, volleyball and reading. I have participated twice in previous ArcMUNs as a delegate and key speaker and with this being my first time participating as a Chair, I am particularly excited to work with the delegates of the WHO committee and make this year’s MUN with my fellow co-chairs the best it can be for our delegates.
