SOCIAL HUMANITARIAN (SOCHUM)

Picture
Main Chair - Monica Pontikidou

I am Monica Pontikidou, a second year Law student in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. I have participated in numerous MUNs and similar conferences in Greece as well as the United States, in any capacity, from delegate to advisor and member of the Board. I aspire to pursue a career in diplomacy and international relations. My interests include traveling, learning foreign languages and spending quite a bit of my free time watching TV series. This is going to be my second year as a Chair in ArcMUN and fifth year overall and I am beyond excited for a (stereotypical but still true) very fruitful debate!

Co-Chair - Evangelia Fingou

My name is Evangelia-or Eva as I prefer to be called- and I was born in Thessaloniki in 2001. From a very young age, I developed a passion for traveling and exploring new places and cultures. During my school years, I participated in multiple MUN conferences and European Youth Parliament sessions both as a delegate and a media team member. In 2019, I started studying at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in the department of German Language and Literature. Apart from German, English and Greek I am also learning French and Spanish to prepare myself for a Masters in Translation and Interpretation, the field I would like to professionally associate myself with. Reading books and playing the guitar are two of my favorite pastime activities whenever I am not procrastinating by binge-watching series. With the upcoming session approaching, I would like to welcome the delegates and advise them to relax and enjoy this
experience to the fullest.

Junior Chair - Foteini Chrysochoidou

I am Foteini and I am an 16 years old high school student. Born and raised in Thessaloniki, I am more than honored to participate in this year's ArcMUN since it was my first ever conference. Other than MUNs, I consider myself as an active volunteer and activist in social and environmental topics. Lastly, I cannot help but express my excitement at the prospect of being an integral part of ArcMUN 2020, helping all the people involved acquire memorable experiences and broaden their horizons.
